At the start of each year, the membership gathers to review activities, hear about new events planned and elect board members with wine and snacks in the French style.

St. Louis Festival of Nations - Volunteers Needed!
Each year the world's art, music, dance, crafts and good cheer comes to St. Louis in Tower Grove Park for the International Institute’s Festival of Nations. Our committee joins other St.Louis sister cities organizations at the World Trade Center booth to serve as international ambassadors of our programs at the region’s largest multicultural celebration. The festival is held a Saturday and Sunday in late August and features more than 40 booths, non-stop dance and music, arts and crafts, and an international bazaar with unique gifts from around the world. Admission is free! Check back for details.
La Fête des Vendanges - Volunteers Needed!
Our committee’s primary fundraiser, La Fête des Vendanges Dinner is where you'll find the Lyon-loving crowd celebrating the wine harvest. Proceeds from this event fund our programs and scholarships. This Fall event features fraternity, food and the fruits of fermentation on October 23, 2021 at the Racquet Club. See above for details.
FRAME (FRench-AMerican Exchange) High School Exchange Program
Le comité continues its support of high school student exchanges between St. Louis and Lyon. Students from Notre Dame de Bellegarde, Neuville sur Saône and Kirkwood High School exchange visits with each others schools every other Spring. We are currently looking for other high schools in Lyon who would like to partner with St. Louis area high schools. See the program in action!
Citizenship Program - Volunteers Needed!
Having thoughtful conversations across political boundaries is at the heart of citizenship. We are looking for volunteers to help develop a program for citizens from St. Louis and Lyon who wish to learn how to cultivate compassion for others even when they don’t agree with them.
